The Braille Tones

The Braille Tones is a choir from Edmonton, Alberta, for singers with disabilities and neurodiversities, lead by artistic director Susan Farrell, assistant director Ashe Stolte, a team of section leaders, and accompanist and arranger Caitlin Grant. This group meets on Saturday mornings and encompasses the values of community, artistry, and joyful inclusion. Braille Tones was founded 30 years ago, in 1996, by Scott Leithead, who is the artistic director of the Korora Choir Association. Since its inception, the two organizations have maintained a strong connection, with many of our section leaders coming from Korora and Òran. Within the choir, we have a core group of singers who have been members for the entire 30 years! The Braille Tones are absolutely thrilled to be included and celebrated at Podium 2026 in Victoria, BC.
