Ventus Women’s Choir

Ventus Women’s Choir, founded in 2015 by Artistic Director Regan Brooks, is dedicated to celebrating and advancing women’s choral repertoire. As part of the uLethbridge Music Conservatory, Ventus has built a reputation for its distinct sound, artistic excellence, and passionate performances.

The community ensemble focuses on works written for treble voices, presenting repertoire that uplifts, inspires, and highlights the expressive range of women’s voices in choral music. From early music to contemporary works and newly commissioned pieces, Ventus is committed to expanding the presence of women’s choral artistry while connecting audiences to meaningful musical experiences.

The choir has earned recognition at regional and provincial festivals, with featured performances at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival and the Kantorei Choral Festival. Highlights include first place at the National Music Festival and being named finalists with honourable mention in the CBC Radio National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs. Looking ahead, Ventus will premiere a new commissioned work by Sarah Quartel in Spring 2026.
