
JOB: Volunteer Coordinator
PODIUM 2024 is seeking a part-time Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for the recruitment, scheduling and training of event volunteers, as well as on-site coordination in Montréal from May 16-20, 2024.
The Volunteer Coordinator position will require a part-time commitment in March and April (5-10 hours per week) with increased hours closer to the event in May. The coordinator must be available full-time for the duration of PODIUM 2024 from May 16-20, 2024 in-person in downtown Montréal.
Responsibilities include:
Recruiting and coordinating on-site volunteers for a range of tasks associated with conference proceedings, concerts and other events as required;
Revising the list of volunteer needs as necessary for 2024;
Working together with the Podium Project Manager to review where/when volunteers are needed and what skills those volunteers would need; and
Managing volunteer appreciation.
The PODIUM 2024 Volunteer Coordinator will receive a $1,000 CAD honorarium upon the completion of their duties. This individual is supported by the PODIUM 2024 national planning committee, Podium Project Manager and Volunteer subcommittee.

We are looking for someone who is:
Enthusiastic about celebrating choral music and sharing it with the general public;
Fully bilingual (English-French) and has experience managing bilingual teams; and
An experienced volunteer either as a participant and/or coordinator.
