POP-UP CONCERTS
Informal mini concerts in unexpected spaces across Victoria.
The PODIUM 2026 Pop-up Concerts are short and informal performances presented in various public locations throughout downtown Victoria and beyond. We strive to make choral music accessible to the Victoria community and visitors alike by offering these concerts free of charge. It's also an opportunity for participating choirs/singing groups to make themselves heard by the general public in a relaxed atmosphere.
Each performance will be scheduled for 20 minutes, and will take place in various indoor and outdoor spaces. Because performances will take place in venues where concerts are not usually held, no instruments will be available on site.
Choirs and singing groups of all ages and styles are invited to express their interest in taking part in this event. All types of repertoire are welcome.
PODIUM 2026 will take place from May 14-17, 2026. The times and locations of the Pop-up Concerts will be finalized at a later date.
Choirs/Singing Groups wishing to participate are asked to fill out the application form above before December 12, 2025.
The Selection Committee will choose groups based on a first-come, first-served basis, while also striving to feature a diversity of groups (e.g. different ages, voicings, genres, styles, etc.)
