CHOIRBURST
An exciting two-day choral marathon in the heart of downtown Victoria.
Building on the success of the first edition in Montreal (2024), we’re thrilled to be bringing this initiative back for PODIUM 2026! Choirburst is a special PODIUM 2026 event providing local and visiting choirs/singing groups the opportunity to share their music with the Victoria community in a sort of “choral marathon” from 10:00am-6:00pm on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Each group will sing for 20 minutes, creating a vibrant showcase of voices throughout the day.
Choirs and singing groups of all ages and styles are invited to express their interest. All types of repertoire are welcome.
Location: St Andrew's Presbyterian Church (924 Douglas St, Victoria, BC)
During each performance, featured groups will have a designated space to display a poster with their image or logo, along with a table for ticket sales, singer recruitment, information sharing, CD sales, etc.
Choirs/Singing Groups wishing to participate are asked to fill out the application form above before December 12, 2025.
The Selection Committee will choose groups based on a first-come, first-served basis, while also striving to feature a diversity of groups (e.g. different ages, voicings, genres, styles, etc.)
